AWR1642: Problems with CaptureDemo

Hi:

I am trying to launch the Capture Demo provided in the mmwavesdk but I cannot get the CaptureDemo prompt on the teraterm terminal. The steps I followed are:

1. I loaded the corresponding image located in C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_01_00_00_05\packages\ti\demo\xwr16xx\capture\xwr16xx_capture_demo.bin.

2. I opened a teraterm terminal using port COM3, which is the one corresponding to the UART.

I got a black window, Nothing else.

I don't know if I am missing something. I would really appreciate a step by step procedure to obtain the CaptureDemo prompt.

Hello ,

Are you connected to "Class Application /User UART" ? If yes, did you press "Enter" in the blank window? After you press "Enter" you will get the prompt.

I connect the EVM and the device manager shows like in the figure.

Then, I open a teraterm window and connect to the COM port COM3. I got this:

The COM port is right.

I assume you are opening the teraterm after loading the "xwr16xx_capture_demo.bin" to the EVM.

Hit 'enter' key in your keyboard after you open the teraterm. You will seen the demo prompt to enter the options.

Yes, I am loading the "xwr16xx_capture_demo.bin" before opening the teraterm window. If I hit enter no prompt appears, just some characters like when you do not have the appropiate format.

Then there is problem in your teraterm port setting.

Please check if you have the above setting for the port.
