Hi,
I want to use the FDC1004 as a load detector system (on: load and OFF: no load), but not as a measurement of capacitor. The component may then be saturated all the time.
will its lifetime be reduced? If yes, how much?
Thanks,
Laurence

Hi Varm,
yes, the purpose of my measurements is to permanently detect an object. But maybe we are not going to work in the range of FDC1004 (we may not be using the CAPDAC to be in the range of the FDC1004). is this a long-term problem? or is it better to use the CAPDAC?

Laurence
Hi Laurence,
Have you considered evaluating our FDC2x1x products that have a high dynamic range and function on the principle of resonant sensing?
Regards,
Varn.
hi Varn,
thanks for your answer. I am going to look at the FDC2x1x more deeply.
I have another question: Can we use FDC1004 to measure capacitance of conductive liquids such as ink?
regards
Laurence
