OPT3001: OPT3001 interrupt

Part Number: OPT3001

I saw your TIDA-01096 and this seems a good start for an application of LED dimming based on ambience reading by an integrated sensor.

It seems to complex for our needs and mainly OPT3001 seems to be expensive compared to others (AMS TLS2591) and maybe the OPT3006 is enough. The only main request is that the sensor has programmable upper and lower thresholds over and lower which sends interrupts to the CC2650. we can work around this with software but it would be more complex; interrupts are more simple.

Does OPT3001 support this feature?

Thanks

  • Hi Flavio,

Yes, that interrupt mode is supported. It is called Latched Window-Style Comparison Mode. Please refer to section 7.4.2.1 of the datasheet for more details. The OPT3001 has additional interrupt modes as well, which are outlined in section 7.4.

For pricing and details on OPT3001 vs. 3006 could you please send me an email at bhandari(at)ti.com

    Best,
