PGA460: Have any flash store in radar application?

Part Number: PGA460
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PGA450-Q1

hi,

we are evaluation PGA460 in our design.

but we find a question, that PGA460's store is EEPROM.

we need flash store to achieve our design.

So have any flash store suggestion in ultrasonic radar application?

thanks.

  • Wu,

The PGA460's internal EEPROM is configured by the USART or TCI interface. Regardless if the internal memory type is EEPROM or flash, the memory will be retained after power down. Are you asking for a PGA460 equivalent with internal flash memory instead of EEPROM? What is the concern about using the PGA460's internal EEPROM? Is the digital state machine too limiting for your design?

The previous generation PGA450-Q1 USSC can be programmed with 8kB of DEVRAM or OTP memory for custom operations.

What type of custom design considerations does your system require? What are the ranging requirements of the ultrasonic radar application? The PGA460 offers improved performance at a lower cost, so I only recommend the PGA450-Q1 as a last resort.
  • Hi Akeem,
We hope to put the radar data processing and system functions of the software are written inside the probe.
so we need larger store to do this.
    our product is vehicle radar.

    thanks.
