PGA460: Low cost transducer selection

Hello e2e Community,

My customer is interested in our PGA460 and have qualified it with the transducer MA58MF14-7N offered in the evm kit.

The issue we have is related to the total cost solution, mainly driven by the transducer itself.

Could you help by providing a list/comparison table of low cost closed-top transducers, similar to the Murata one?

    We have a listing of transducers available on the E2E posting "PGA460: Air-Coupled Ultrasonic Transducers & Transformers Listing" at: e2e.ti.com/.../620399

    Unfortunately, we do not have the pricing information for all of these transducers, as pricing information is not always made public, and depends on the quantity and lead-time requirements.

    I recommend that you and the customer refer to the spreadsheet listing, and filter by frequency, input voltage, and beam angle to see which transducers are nearly identical in spec to the Murata MA58MF14-7N. The customer may also need to consider using a 40kHz equivalent, since 40kHz transducers are more common, and can be lower cost and readily available in many cases.
