AWR1642: Accuracy of chirp frequency

Hello,

Regarding AWR1642, I'd like to know the frequency accuracy of chirp signal when the radar is working as a FMCW radar.

The purpose is to estimate FM modulation of IF signal. As far as I see the datasheet, it is not shown.

if possible, I prefer the measured data to the simulation data.

Hi Kassy,

Our mmWave Sensors feature a chirp linearity which is accurate to less than .01% of the desired frequency. What that specific frequency is can vary according to your Bandwidth.

I'd also like to point you to Section 5.7 RF Specifications (p. 30) in the AWR1642 Datasheet. Two terms you are going to want to look at are Phase noise at 1-MHz offset and Amplitude Noise.

It's clear to me.

Besids that, I 'd like to know phase noise at lower frequency than 1MHz offset.

As I suppose that it is surpressed by loop gain of PLL, I could consider it as almost similar value at 1MHz offset?
