IWR1642: Can SYNC_IN and hardware trigger be used in IWR1642?

Hello champion,
    My customer wants to implement a frame by frame hardware trigger from outside processers via SYNC_IN signal to precisely control the starting time for each frame. Could the hardware trigger feature be used in IWR1642? If yes, can this feature be used to control a 5ms period frame starting?
