AWR1642: AWR1642 Develop interface required

Sir,

For develop purpose, may I know what interface is required? Such as RS232, MSS_logger, BSS_logger, DSS_logger & JTAG?

    Hello JY,
    For RF evaluation of testing you would need the following interfaces to use a tool like Radar Studio:
    1) LVDS interface to get the raw ADC data
    2) UART (RS232) interface to download the firmware
    3) SPI interface for sending the commands.
    4) nRST and SOP lines to set the device bootup mode

    For software development and debug you might want to use following interface (but it mostly depends on the developer ):
    1) JTAG
    2) UART
    3) Logger ports if you want to send any logs from the internal micro controller or DSP core.
    4) Some developers might also use GPIOs for some indications they might want to monitor.

    Can you paste a viewcut of the JTAG connection with AWR1642, 10Pin or 14Pin?! thanks in advace

    Hello Steven,
    The connector to be used depends on the emulator or connectivity you are planning to use for the JTAG connection. You could use either 10 or 14 pin , either will work. You can refer to the following page for the various pin configuration for the different connector : processors.wiki.ti.com/.../JTAG_Connectors
