AWR1243: Data Transfer of each chirp

Hi,

I have a question regarding when the chirp data transfer actually starts taking place.

Does the system wait for all the chirp samples to be acquired and then begin the transfer or the data starts being transferred over digital interface at the beginning of the ADC start time ?

Hi RJ,

The AWR devices collect one chirp's worth of ADC data and then transmits it over the LVDS lanes. In other words, the data transmission occurs at the end of the chirp (i.e. when the ADC buffer has the programmed number of samples - as per the profile configuration).

Thank you, Anil for your response.

I assume the same also holds true for CSI-2 as the buffer fill and empty structure is interface agnostic.

If I understand correctly, the adc buffers are ping pong buffers. As the data from the previous chirp gets transported out of the ping buffer, the current chirp's data fills the pong buffer ?
