AFE4403: XIN Maximum allowable external clock jitter for SPO2

Part Number: AFE4403

I have two questions regarding the maximum allowable clock jitter for SPO2 measurements using the AFE4403.

Question 1.
In the spec, it says the the maximum allowable external clock jitter is TYP 50 ps. Does that mean that no measurements can greater than 50 picoseconds? or that the average should be less that 50 ps?

The average jitter is 3.3 ps, the min and max are -559.1 ps and 598.7 ps, with a standard deviation
of 168.1 ps.

Is this "in spec" or "out of spec" for the AFE4403 measuring SPO2?

Question 2.
Tthe AFE4403 spec says "TI highly recommends that a single clock source be used to generate the clock required by the AFE as well as the clock needed by the microcontroller (MCU)...."
So, we are generating the 8 MHz clock from our MCU. If we can't jitter tolerance should we consider using a crystal?

Thanks.
