Hello,

I have designed proximity sensor with LDC0851, however, the problem is coil designer.

I would like to design  4L stacked coil;

Q1: I just want to learn what is the desired distance between  Lref coil and Lsense coil? (4L stack coil thickness is 1.6mm)

Q2: Shield problem, the sensor was replaced into circle brass metal (Radius: 13mm), but the sensor  was effected brass metal,

Q3: So how can I shielded sensor to not effected brass metal enclosure?

    Hello,

    Typically we say that you want to increase the separation between the LSENSE and LREF coils as much as possible. The more separation you provide, the longer sensing range. We've found that you should at least be >10% separation to get the best response. Below is a simulation of how the switching distance changes with regards to coil separation for an ADJ setting of 1. I've highlighted why increasing the separation makes a difference in another thread which you can refer to for more information (e2e.ti.com/.../1833522

    I do not quite get questions 2 and 3. Could you post a drawing if possible?
