Hi,

    I am working on water flow metering i am struck with tdc7200 please any one suggest me which are the registers to be configured and how to get TOF measurement value

    Hi Rashmi,

    There is not much configuration necessary for the TDC7200. If the TOF you are measuring is less than 500ns (unlikely for water flow) then use measurement mode 1. Otherwise use measurement mode 2 (CONFIG1). Set the number of stops you would like to measure (CONFIG2). Next set the polarities of the start and stop edges (CONFIG1). Finally set the "Start New Measurement" bit (CONFIG1) to start the measurement and send the trigger pulse to the TDC1000.

    You can read the TOF values from the TIME and CLOCK registers. See the datasheet for a description of all the registers mentioned here.

    Hello scott Cummins,
    Thank you for reply ,when i tried to configure the tdc7200 registers am unable to write to or read the interrupt status register,and every time when i read the interrupt status register values are different
