Hi,

My team is working on new Antenna and Array design based on AWR1243Boost board. It is necessary for us to make a new AWR1243Boost-like board but with new antenna design. We won't change the any structure in our design other than the antenna.

We notice that the chip TM4C1294N on the AWR1243Boost board function as a debug probe connecting PC with AWR1243. So the firmware in TM4C1294N might be needed for us if we wanna the board we made work well with mmWaveDevpack & TSW1400.

How could I get the firmware and how to download it?

Are there any other things that need attention when we make our AWR1243Boost-like development board.

PS. The antenna part of AWR1243Boost board had been quite rusted since I got it.

Hello,

Installing the Code composer studio 6.10 or above should give you the firmware for the XDS110 in the following path:
$ti\ccsv7\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110

Hi,

I'm not quite familliar with this Debug Prob. I notice that the JTAG/SWD pins of the TM4C1294N on this board don't connect to any connector. Can I simply download this firmware through USB interface to a completely new TM4C1294N or use another board with JTAG/SWD connector to dowmload first?

Yes you can use the USB interface to load the boot loader and firmware on the TM4C1294N device for a new board. You can refer to the following thread : e2e.ti.com/.../2280642
This explains the steps.

Regarding the "rusting" of the antenna, this is oxidation of the immersion silver coating for better performance at 80Ghz. You can refer to the EVM user guide to avoid it ( )
