Hello,

is it possible to use the OPT3002 at 266nm? I know that the specification indicate from 300nm to 1000nm, but 266 is not too far from 300nm, I wonder if there is any cut-off filter above the sensor.

Hi Fabio,

I believe this is possible, but there will be significant attenuation. We did not collect data on the response below 300nm so I cannot give you a number. However, I will see if we have any info and get back.

Could you provide some more details of what you are trying to do? Since the sensor responds to >300nm light much more there will be a lot of noise if there is any visible light hitting the sensor in your application.

I need to measure the irradiance of a light source at 266nm. The sensor will be in a dark room without any other light source then 266nm light.

Hi Fabio,

Another thought, if you have a OPT3002 EVM I would suggest testing to see the sensor response in your setup. That will tell you, light source and external factors accounted for, whether the response of the sensor is enough for your application.
