AWR1642: The suggested line width and distance to GND if use RO3003

Hi champion,
My custoemr plans to use RO3003 to build their AWR1642 board. Do we have an suggested RF line width and distance to GND in this case?
When they check the TI EVM design w/t RO4835, they find the line width is 0.18mm. They want to know what is the condition to use this width, can it meet the impedance requirement 50 Ohm.

Hello Adam,
The PCB manufacturer would be able to provide required trace width for the exact material and thickness you want to use, in order to meet the 50ohms impedance. Its best to get the stackup from the manufacturer since they fine tune the parameters based on their manufacturing.

Hello Vivek,
The customer used 'AWR Txline' tool to calculate the line width and they got 0.21mm which is different from what we used in TI EVM.
So they want to know the principle of these parameter choice. Based on your comment, could I understand it is given by the PCB manufacturer rather than TI?

Hello Adam,
It can be got using simulations (simulation tools like HFSS etc.) by accounting for all the parameters or can be got from the manufacturer. They account for all the parameters like the, the RF trace to GND seperation, plating thickness, presence of air etc.
