Hi Experts,

My customer would like to detect a stainless can which is the shape of 20mm height and 5cm diameter by Demo Visualizer.
We have tried but it hardy detects it correctly with high Magnitude.

We have tested the setting as follows:
FW: V1.01.00.02

　Frame rate　　　　: 5
Range Resolution : 0.049
　Maximum Unambiguous Range : 5
　Maximum Radial Velocity : 1
　Threshold : 5

1) Could you please let us know the best setting for Demo Visualizer?
2) We would like to know what kind of objects which reflects higher magnitude. We would like to know the relations among Size, Material, etc.

Hi Hitoshi-san,

Some basic questions:

1. What is the orientation of the can w.r.t the EVM? Is the cylindrical side facing the EVM or the circular face facing the EVM? The circular face should be easier to detect as it will reflect more energy towards the EVM.

2. What's the distance of the target from the sensor?

3. Is the target moving or stationary?

We have a related experiment called Detecting Quarters using mmWave which shows the detection of a quarter (which is much smaller than your target object) with face facing the EVM at a max distance of about 2 meters.

Hi Nitin,
1. The particular can is just selected for testing. A cylindrical side is facing the EVM.
2. 2 to 3 m range.
3. The target is stationary.

Will convey the information of Detecting Quarters using mmWave and check.
