OPT3001: OPT3001 transfer time

Hi champion,

Customer want to know how long does the OPT3001 transfer the light to digital signal to controller.

And how much time does it refresh to the output?

Hi Miller,

The conversion time of the opt3001 is the integration time (either 100ms or 800ms) plus 3ms. Please refer to section 6.5 Electrical Characteristics of the datasheet where this is listed for more details. Does this answer your question? The conversion time is the time it takes from light hitting the sensor to the measurement being available in the result register. Then the microcontroller will need to read the result from the device over i2c.

Not in our digital line up, but you could take a look at our analog output parts, OPT301 and OPT101.
