OPT8241: HDR function

Part Number: OPT8241

Greeting,

I'm trying to enable HDR function, but there is some definition is not the same as datasheet

But firstly, the major problem is some pixel near the over exposure region can  not be replaced by HDR frame

due to the flag is 0,

so I need to knowing about the setting of HDR.

about the flag's question is as below

Flag3

1.what the definition of saturation because i found some pixel's flag is 8 ,but the confidence is 0~62

Flag2

2.What the meaning of digital pipeline over saturation?

Flag1

3.Some pixel's flag is 2, it is not reasonable, can you explain the phenonemeon?

=====

  • Pixel saturation flag is raised if ambient value is > saturation_threshold.  Confidence is 'amplitude', not 'ambient'.

Digital pipeline saturation is a digital word saturation as result of computation--it is largely used for debugging purposes.

When HDR function is enabled, alternate frames of high- and low-exposure frames are presented.  You will need to combine them using the HDR filter (software filter).  See this video for explanation at the 6:10 mark.

  • Hello Larry,

    1.

I have send mail to you for some detailed issue

Any way to solve this problem?

    2.

we find some pixel’s flag value is 2 caused by a reserved pixel.

we can use HDR frame to overwrite but we don't know what happen
