AWR1642: The relationship of the SensingEstimation tool and the formula of application note for AWR1642

Hello,

Please let me know the relationship of the mmWaveSensing Estimator tool and the formula (2) in swra553.

I want to know whether both calculations output same result.
(In my customer's case, the results are different in both of calculations, so I want to check whether my calculation has error.)

    The formula used is the sensing estimator is mostly same. Just that there are few more aspects accounted for in the sensing estimator. One is incase you do coherent integration across the 4 receiver channels then the chirp time would get multiplied by 4, this is what is used in the sensing estimator.
    Another aspect is the sensing estimator provides a way to separate of some of the loss which are not accounted for separately in the app note (you could take them part of the NF or SNR det). For example system losses like board loss, detection implementation losses like FFT or windowing losses etc. These have not been explicitly spelled out in the app note.
