With reference to the training video "2.7 mmWave Sensor Raw Data Capture Using the TSW1400 Board" and a previous thread on "IWR1642BOOST raw ADC data streaming using TSW1400EVM Issues", I have encountered some issues while aquiring raw data using IWR1642boost and TSW1400EVM:
1. We have IWR1642boost (ES1.0 Silicon) and I am unable to find the download link for DFP 00.06.00.05. I have downloaded the latest available version "00.09.01.06" but I am afraid that because of old silicon it may not support it. I have encountered some issues which are pointed out later.
2 When we connect TSW1400 to the computer, instead of having USB ports under COM ports, they appear to be under Universal Serial Bus Controllers (USB Serial Converter A to D). Can this be a problem ? If yes how to fix it ?
3. We tested IWR1642boost independently from TSW1400 and it is working fine. However, when we flash out the memory (for raw data capture) and remove the jumper P3, the NERR_OUT LED starts glowing (P4 jumper is still connected). Do I need to insert jumper P2 to take it into development mode from functional mode for raw data acquisition, after which NERR_OUT LED stops. Or there is something else wrong ?
4. I have downloaded "dfp_00_09_01_06", "mmwave_sdk_01_01_00_02", "HSDC Pro v4.80", "Radar Studio v1.9.1.0" and "Matlab RunTime engine v8.5.1". When I launch HSDC it seems to be connected fine but the interface type is shown as AWR1642_FIRMWAVE as compared to ADC_Firmware as shown in "attachment1.png". Is that OK ? (Only AWR is available in the options as compared to IWR).
5. When I launch Radar Studio (shown in attachment2.png), the No. of devices connected shows to be "0". Also the device status is blank suggesting that most probably my DFP firmware is mismatched. Any suggestions on how to fix it ?. Furthermore,if I click SetupTSW1400 it gives me an error (shown in attachment3.png), suggesting that something is wrong with Matlab installation. However, the runtime engine has been installed and the path has been set in the environment variables.
