HDC1080: HDC1080 reading overturn at low/high humidity

Part Number: HDC1080

My customer want to check if HDC1080 has one issue which presents on SI7020. On SI7020, when the humidity is very to close to 0%, the reading data may jump from 2 to 65534; when it is close to 100%, the data may jump from 65534 to 2. And Silicon Lab's guy told them this is a common issue of this kind of IC. Could you help confirm this? if not like that, it is a good point for us to beat SI7020.

  • Hi Zhengxing,

Our characterization team can reliably go to ~0%RH and~100%RH (no condensing conditions of course) and did't observe this behavior in the HDC1080 products they tested. We don't have any report on such behavior.

    Regards,
