TDC1000-GASEVM: No START, STOP and COMPIN signals from the board

Part Number: TDC1000-GASEVM

I have been using the TDC1000-GASEVM board for the past two weeks along with 200kHz transducers. Until now i was getting satisfactory echoes and readings from the transducers and the board, but suddenly since two days I haven't been able to get START, STOP and COMPIN signals on the DSO. I am assuming something has gone faulty on the board. Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

And I have put the config file currently running on the board, here below.

  • Hello,

The config looks alright. Has anything changed with the register configuration, or the board/transducer setup between when it was working and now? Are you certain that the TDC1000 is receiving a trigger signal from the TDC7200? My first step would be to check that there is a trigger signal when you initiate a new measurement.
  • As far as the register configuration and the transducer setup goes, nothing has been changed. I haven't checked the trigger signal from the TDC7200 yet, will do that right away. I hope the board is alright.

  • Hello Scott,
The TDC1000 is receiving a toggling trigger pulse(0 and 3.2V ) from the TDC7200 after initiating a new measurement. After some probing, i've also found that the VDD signal on the TDC1000 is about 3.8 V whereas that on the TDC7200 it is about 3.2V. Also, the COMPIN is showing a constant voltage of 1.8V and the START, STOP pins aren't showing anything. The same thing keeps happening even if I use Mode 0(Reflection/Echo) alongwith one transducer and a reflecting surface.

    Regards,
    Akshay
