AWR1243BOOST: Uniflash doesn't work when AWR1243BOOST is connected to DevPack

Hi all,

My settings are: DFP mmwave_dfp_00_09_01_06, SDK mmwave_sdk_01_01_00_02, Uniflash uniflash_4.2.1 and Radar Studio v1.9.1.0.

1. When I connected AWR1243BOOST, DevPack and TSW1400 together, Uniflash can't load image into AWR1243. The procedures are below:

1.1 Jumper SOP2~SOP0 are 101, that is SOP Mode5 Flash Mode.

1.2 Power on all boards. The power supply's rated amps for AWR1243BOOST is 3A.

1.3 Connections are below

1.3 Open UniFlash, AWR1243BOOST is detected. Images are shown in below

Settings are as below

Then click "Load Image" button.

1.4 And then UniFlash was stuck at "Opening COM in COM3" for a very long time. Nothing happens...

2. But if I disconnected AWR1243BOOST to DevPack and connected only AWR1243BOOST to PC, then repeat steps 1.1~1.3. All 3 images can be flashed into AWR1243 correctly without error message.

So my question is is it normal for the description in Step 1?

    Hello Feng,
    SOP pin control of AWR1243BOOST is overridden by DEVPACK. In your case when DEVPACK is connected, FTDI might be driving it to some other SOP control (overriding SOP jumpers).
    We suggest using RadarStudio if you are using both boards stacked to control SOP settings, else use AWR1243BOOST alone and jumper based SOP control to flash images to it.
