AFE4490: stops working for some time

Hello there.

So i am building a SPO2 device. I am using the AFE4490 and everything is working fine.
Just after some time the SPI-connection interrupts for some seconds and than works again for some time.
As far as i measured the ADC_RDY spike disappears for this time, so i guess this is the problem.
The power supply works fine.

Did you deal with problems like that ?

Hello Sebastian,

Welcome to TI E2E forum.

Can you check the status of other AFE control signals when the SPI is interrupted?
Also check if your code is inadvertently issuing any software powerdown and resumes again.

Thanks for the Suggestion.
It was a problem with the code.

My latest problem is, that my signal i get from the afe is very noise.
So I disconnected the Photodiode and it is still noise.
I guess the afe fails.
I meassured the BG, TX-Ref-pin, VCM and it shows me the right results.
I am not sure if the Afe is defective.
