AWR1243: Demo Visualizer and capturing the raw I and Q data

Part Number: AWR1243
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1642, , AWR1443,

Hi team,

I was helping a customer get the USB driver installed and how to view the DAT file. We seemed to get past that but there are some additional follow up questions that I don’t have the answers to.

Can someone help to address these?

-I have gotten the AWR1642 and AWR1443 to work with the mmWave Demo Visualizer, however I have not been able to get the AWR1243 working with this program. Is there an additional component I need in order to get this to work?

-In addition, I would like to capture the raw I and Q data from all of these components (the AWR1243, 1443, and 1642). Is this possible for these devices and if so how will I be able to do this?

Thanks,

Billy

  • Hi,

Please notice in the Visualizer "Platform" field that AWR1243 is not supported with the Visualizer. The reason for this is that AWR1243 does not include any programmable core and therefore is not supported by the mmWave SDK.

In order to experiment with the AWR1243, one would need to use the Radar Studio provided with the Device Firmware Package.

In order to use Radar Studio, one would need an AWR1243BOOST EVM and a DEVPACK (www.ti.com/.../mmwave-devpack DEVPACK&tisearch=Search-EN-Everything)

    Thank you
