Hi,

I'm trying to read the "DIAG" Register and looking for "DIAG_END" signal, after enabling 'DIAG_EN' bit of "CONTROL0" Register but I'm seeing none, is there any sequence we have to follow or anything which is being missed out.

Thanks for the reply,

Our test procedure includes:

1. Looking for "DIAG_END" signal and monitoring "DIAG" Register, without connecting the Probe.

2. Looking for "DIAG_END" signal and monitoring "DIAG" Register, while disconnecting the Probe in the middle.

Irrespective of Failure/Fault, we should see "DIAG_END" signal after enabling 'DIAG_EN' bit of "CONTROL0" Register right?

Hi Suhas,

Can you try some other fault as listed in the Table 5 of the datasheet?
Also please wait for some time (>20mS) after you enable the diagnostic mode to read the flags.

Hey Prabin,
I tried to recreate couple of other faults, but nothing changed.
We are waiting for 16ms 't-diag' after enabling 'DIAG_EN' bit and waiting for another 28ms 'Filter settling Time' FYI.

After enabling 'DIAG_EN' bit, once Diagnostic ends we have to see Interrupt on "DIAG_END" pin right? we are not seeing that.

Hi Suhas,

You can read the status of diagnostics by reading the DIAG register (Addr. 0x30).
Here is the suggested sequence for testing diagnostics completely through firmware.

1. Enable Diagnostics by writing 0x40 to CONTROL0 register (addr. 0x0)
2. Wait for alteast 16 ms.
3. Enable SPI read by writing 0x01 to CONTROL0 register (addr. 0x0)
4. Read DIAG register (addr. 0x30)
