AWR1642: SensorStop Behavior

Hi all, I don't believe I saw a similar question posted yet. I would like to know what granularity the SensorStop() API call has. I.e., whether it will stop the sensor at a frame/chirp/sample boundary. Is it possible to get incomplete data back? Thanks.

Please review in the AWR1xx_Radar_Interface_Control.pdf, rlSensorStop API.

The description mentions that it stops the transmission of the frames.

Hi Cesar, I saw this comment in the IC document, but to me this doesn't indicate if the current frame is allowed to complete fully before stopping. Can you confirm this is the case and it will not stop mid-frame once receiving the command? Thanks.

Hello Bill,
RadarSS will stop the frame at the end of frame-duration/frame-boundary, even if it receives rlSensorStop during any time of frame.

In other word if rlSensorStop API reached to RadarSS during a frame is ongoing then current frame is allowed to complete fully and then at the end of this frame RadarSS will stop chirping.
