HI,

I WANT TO CONVERT THE CAPACITIVE DIFFERENTIAL SIGNALS COMING OUT OF PIEZO ELECTRIC SENSOR TO DIGITAL SIGNALS AND ALSO CONDITIONING IS TO BE DONE. SUPPOSE I HAVE 2 PAIRS .CAN I CONNECT CAP_1+ (SUPPOSE) TO CIN1 AND CAP_1- TO CIN2 AND ALSO CAP_2+ TO CIN 3 & CAP_2- TO CIN4. IS THIS GOOD APPROACH ?CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.

Hi Mahesh,

Can you provide a proposed schematic of your setup? Also, what is the capacitance of the piezo? Finally, what voltages do you expect to be on the sensor?

hi sir,

i have the Acoustic sensor with part number 2510M4A ENDVECO .i have to do signal conditioning of these sensor signals. in this datasheet it is given capacitance as 5200 pF and charge sensitivity of 31 pc rms. i thought of converting these capacitance signals to digital using this ic FDC1004.so i am asking you how can i connect signals coming out of sensor to this ic? hope you understand.

please suggest

Hi Mahesh,

Unfortunately, the 5200pF of capacitance exceeds the FDC1004 supported range of 100pF +/-16pF.
