Hello,

I'm planning to use multiple LDC2114.

Because they all have the same I2C address, I plan to proceed like this:

On startup all LDC2114s are disabled, by disconnecting Vcc using FETs
Then one after the other LDC2114 will be enabled, configured by writing the config registers via I2C and disabled.
After all LDC2114s are configured, all LDC2114 will be enabled and I2C communication won't be used anymore
Out-Pins of LDC2114 will be used.

Will the registers of LDC2114 be set to default after a reset?

Hello Clemens,

Yes, on a power reset, the LDC2114 will revert back to the default configuration in the datasheet. The IC will also be in active mode and actively converting.

We have used a SP4T mux to select between 4 LDC2114 in systems before; this solution worked well. The mux we used was the TS3A5017. Note that the mux required a higher supply voltage to operate:

So you only multiplexed the SDA-lines, not the clock?

Hello Clemens,

My apologies for not responding earlier. Yes, only muxing the SDA will work. If the part sees SCLK pulses without its address, it will ignore the I2C communications.
