I am trying to use the FDC1004 sensor from a raspberry pi. I tried to use the code from this answer:

e2e.ti.com/.../2209108

The code is very old and has several bugs. Is there a more recent way to read from the sensor?

Hello,

Unfortunately, we do not have more modern code that we can share.

We only have the driver that comes with the GUI. You could use the same protocol as all of our EVMs to communicate over the COM port.

Do you have the protocol documentation? Is there a more modern version of the protocol code that I can see?

We do not have a more modern code. We have a document showing how to read and write via i2c: LDC1614 read write i2c USB protocol - Sensing Solutions EVM Interface Protocol.pdf

Hello,

Linux systems are quite capable of opening COM ports and issuing the same commands. Refer to stackoverflow.com/.../how-to-read-a-binary-data-over-serial-terminal-in-c-program
