My customer may see some transients on the inputs during the start-up of the device. The data sheet states that the analog inputs are rated at -0.3V to Minimum (3.6, AVDD3+0.3V). This seems a little vague. Can you tell me if there are input protection diodes to AVDD in the inputs and if they are capable of handling any current if the inputs were to see a transient? If they can handle current what is the maximum current recommended? Or are there simply ESD cells present that are not designed to handle transient conditions?
Thanks for your help with this!
