TDC1000-TDC7200EVM: Can't update firmware

Hello,

I have successfully installed software GUI and it told me I need to update firmware. I tried several times but it stuck with next error messages:

Starting
Password Sent Successfully
Sending RAM BSL v00.06.05.34 Done RAM BSL v00.06.05.34
Failed to read data from RAM BSL
Unsuccessful in starting the BSL. 
Restarting. 
Password Sent Successfully 
Sending RAM BSL v00.06.05.34 
Done RAM BSL v00.06.05.34 
Failed to read data from RAM BSL

I tried to re-insert board with SW1 pressed with no luck.

Hi Roman,

Please try running the BSL loader separately from the GUI. You will find it in the following folder if you selected the default installation directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\TDC1000_7200EVM\MSP430 USB Firmware Upgrade Example

If this does not work you may need to uninstall the MSP430 device from your Device Manager page on the Windows control panel, then unplug it and plug it back in again before retrying the BSL loader again.

I ran updater separately. It shows me device connected, so it must not be an issue.

Hello Scott,

Tried many times, removed USB device from Device Manager. With no luck at all. The same error messages.

Hi Roman,

Just to clarify, have you been holding the SW1 button down before plugging in the USB cable when running the BSL program?

Sure. I tried holding it while connecting USB. Also another try to hold it while connecting and still hold while running Firmware upgrade.
