CCS/AWR1642: Issues about programming the AWR1642 BOOST DEMO

Part Number: AWR1642

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I am trying to make some modifications on the code of AWR1642BOOST DEMO, but I cannot find useful documentation about the usage of the DSP memory and EDMA.

Could you please give me some advice on how to find some programming guide documentation about AWR1642 ?

Thank you!

William

  • Hi, Cesar

I want to make the detMatrix more stable by the moving average model, so I need to initialize a part of memory to store the previous detMatrix data. But I have no idea of the memory's usage, size, and property.

Also, when I was reading the code of AWR1642 DEMO, I got confused with the EDMA function and especially the meaning of parameter. So I need some detailed documentation about the principle of the EDMA operation and the usage of the EDMA function.

    Thank you!

  • Hi William,

I'd recommend consulting the Technical Reference Manual: www.ti.com/.../swru520a.pdf

Specifically the section on EDMA starts on page 166.

If you have more specific questions then feel free to open up a new thread!
