AFE4490: Setting up register values for reflective PPG wrist sensing

Hi All,

I am currently working on a project that continuously monitors HR and SPO2 using AFE4490 through the wrist using reflective methodology. However I am not sure of the ideal values that must be for the registers i.e (LEDCNTRL1, TIAGAIN, TIA_AMB_GAIN etc) set to get optimum results.

Is there any datasheet that I can refer to set the values for the same.

Any help will be deeply appreciated.

    Hi Sarwesh,

    Parameters such as LEDCNTRL1, TIAGAIN, TIA_AMB_GAIN etc depends on biological factors of the user skin tone, age , race.
    These parameters also depends on mechanical factors such as separation between LED and PD, glass thickness etc. So there is no optimum setting for all users.
    Usually you have to have a algorithm that adjusts these parameters for the given user.
