TDC1000: one transducer fro level and concentration.

Part Number: TDC1000

TDC1000 use two transducers for level sensing and Concentration sensing.

Is it possible for only one transducer to be able to level and concentration simultaneously?

  • Hi Seungnam,

Unfortunately, it's not possible for only one transducer to be able to sense both level and concentration simultaneously. Level sensing requires the concentration to be fixed so that the speed of sound inside the fluid remains constant for use in distance (level) calculations. Concentration sensing requires the distance between the transducer and its target to remain constant, so that changes in the speed of sound can be detected and used to calculate the concentration of the fluid. You would need one transducer for each type of sensing, mounted in different locations. This application note may help for level sensing, and this application note may help for concentration sensing.

    Regards,
