IWR1443: CSI-2 Frame Structure and Fields

I am wondering about the frame structure for CSI-2 data as shown in the figure below (Fig 6-5 in IWR1443 datasheet). How are the VSYNC Start/Stop and HSYNC Start/Stop sequences defined? Are those user-selectable or defaults? Are these fields part of the CSI-2 standard or used by the TI sensor to frame the chirp data?

Please refer to the data paths programmer's guide www.ti.com/.../swra555.pdf

It's standard CSI2 protocol and you'll program it to match the receiver side format.

I have read that document. That didn't really address my question.

If you look on p15 of the data path programming guide, there are registers for "Configure the VSync End Short Packet Value" (Register CFG_CMD_VEVAL) and similar for Hsync (register name CFG_CMD_HEVAL). What do those registers mean? I don't understand what is their function and how to set that.

Antonio,

In swru522 (www.ti.com/.../swru522a.pdf), you will find chapter 13 on how cbuff transmission sequencing works.

in mmwave sdk, cbuff driver folder contains files where those registers are defined and used.
