the data sheet says accuracy is o.4 degrees C, digikey says it is +/- 2.7 degrees C. which is correct

The 0.4C on the first page refers to the typical accuracy and digikey is referring to the maximum accuracy. Please refer to the datasheet Accuracy Characteristics table on page 5.
