AWR1642: AWR Interference

Part Number: AWR1642

Could you  provide a short and crisp explanation as to how interference from other radar vehicles ether using the TI solution or other Radar solutions is avoided by the AWR1642?

  • Hi,

mmwave sensors use proprietary technology to deal with interference.

    thank you
    Cesar
  • Hello Roy,
Within a single vehicle the different mmwave sensors can be synchronized with slightly different chirp configuration to avoid interference.
Interference from external sensors can be identified and mitigated. In our mmwave sensors we provide a way to identify the chirp or frame that had an interference by using the complex down conversion in the receiver chain. Once this is identified the user can use higher level mitigation algorithms like zeroing out those samples, cancelling out the interference etc.
