Hi,

We have been working with the IWR1443 boost for the past two to three weeks. Suddenly, the computer stopped detecting the device. The computer runs on Windows 10 and the COM ports of the device are not being displayed in the device manager. There have not been any software or other updations or changes done. The Emulation software is properly installed. I also tried reinstalling the software. The problem persists.

Please let me know if there are any troubleshooting steps to be tried.

Hi Harsha,

Could you please capture your device management's screen when the EVM is plug in to PC?

Is the device management recognize it as an unknown device? In this case, try to re-install the driver from latest SDK. If it doesn't work, please disable the digital signature in WIN10, then re-install the driver again. reference link:

Or it detected nothing when you plug in? In this case, could you please check the output voltage of the charger/PMIC/LDO. Thanks.

Hi Wesley,

The computer doesn't detect anything when I plug it in. It is not a problem of drivers as we tried to connect to two computers and neither of them detected it.

I am attaching the screenshot of device manager.

We checked the outputs of the Charger, PMIC and LDO output pins. Everything is as per the values specifed in the technical documents.

Let me know what else can be tried.

Hi Harsha,

Have you ever use this EVM with 12V power supplier?
Also, you can check the LDO's output voltage which supply for TM4C on EVM.
It's U9 on EVM.

Hi Wesley,

We have never used it with a 12 volt supply. It was always 5 volts. We checked the output of U9. It is as per the specifications.

Could you please change other PC to try it? And use other USB cable to try? To make sure the connection is correct.

We already tried using it with two different computers and tried three different USB cables. Nothing works.

Hi Harsha,

It seems that the TM4C or the USB connector/chain on the EVM is damaged during your using.
Could you please use other EVM to try it? Thanks.

Could you please try with a different power supply, if that doesn’t work you can order a new board from ti.com or other vendor.

Hi Wesley,
we've already tried that, we have also verified the voltage on board by oscilloscope, everithing is fine but USB detection and communication. We have another board, we will proceed with it but I think it's weird that Texas Instruments cannot repair it's products...
