AWR1642: Short Range Radar Lab in TI Resource explorer

Part Number: AWR1642

Hi Experts,

Could you please let me know how long it takes from the Radar Data Capture to CFAR end with this SRR configuration?
And could you please let me know how long it takes for the optional clustering and tacking function itself?

The Data Path – Processing Chain is described in page 7 in Developer's Guide.

The time estimation would be greatly helpful for the design support.

Best regards,
Hitoshi

  • Hi,

Is the customer able to run the demo code?

If the customer is planning to do further development with the code I think it would be helpful for him to be more familiar with the code and benchmark the code.

    Here are the steps:

    1) For the SRR demo, the config is defined in a C file. The following command frameCfg>Number of Frames must be set to 1 so that a single frame is processed.

    frameCfg>Number of Frames = 1

    2) Open CCS in "CCS Debug" Mode and Enable the Clock (Run -> Clock)

At this point it should be able to benchmark the code

    thank you
    Cesar
  • Hi Cesar,
It seems it is only way to know the time is to measure the clocks with CCS.
    Will try it.
    Will keep you updated.
    Best regards,
    Hitoshi
  • Thank you,

Some of the demos may have some built in benchmark capabilities.

However, if the customer is doing development, I think it will be more useful to get familiar with the code

    thank you
    Cesar
