IWR1642: mm-wave sensor

Part Number: IWR1642
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1642, AWR1243

Hello,

Just a couple of basic questions.

1) What would be the main difference between the AWR and IWR series? From the data sheets and architectures, they don't seem to be different but the applications are different as mentioned in the web.

Any reason why AWR series are just for the vehicle applications and IWR series are just for industrial applications?

2) The IWR series can monitor liquid level in micro-meter level. How can it be achieved when considering resolution band width they use?

3) Is it possible to make a bistatic configuration by using two AWR 1642 chips (cascading) and synchronize them?

Your feedbacks would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Joel.
