AWR1243: On switching between CW mode and FMCW mode

Part Number: AWR1243

I would like to be able to switch between CW mode and FMCW mode by command input without turning off the power.
Switching from FMCW mode to CW mode is possible, but switching from CW mode to FMCW mode has not been done yet.
Is it possible to switch from CW mode to FMCW mode?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

    I used MMWAVE DFP 0.9. For firmware.

    And I used AWR 1xxx Radar Interface Control Document Revision 0.95 for ARM software implementation.

    Do you mean that you have been able to demonstrate switching between FMCW to CW mode using the mmWavelink API commands in the ICD? But when you attempt to switch from CW to FMCW, you are not achieving the intended behavior? 

    Can you please describe the behavior you are observing when switching from CW to FMCW mode in more detail? I would like to bring this to our internal firmware team for review. The exact C-code would be good to have along with the behavior you observe.

    I did have a chance to confirm that your observations are the expected behavior from the latest DFP firmware and latest mmWavelink API described in the ICD.

    I cannot provide any further details on whether this feature will be changed in the future to include the functionality you are wanting.

    Please let me know if that answers all of your questions on this topic.

    Yes, that's right.

    After starting with Cascaded device mode
    CW mode can be effective and CW wave can be output.
    After that, return to FMCWmode, it seems that modulation wave output can not be done.
