Senor That can detect Color of a Paper Strip in Water in Darkness

Hello TI E2E Users,

Could you please answer the following questions.

We have a requirement where the Color of a Paper Strip to be detected in water during night time(i.e. In darkness).

So in this context we would like to ask the following questions.

1.Can we Use VEML6040 inside water? It means Does it have Water Proof Protection? If No Could you please Suggest us any of the Vishay Sensors that has Water Proof protection.

2. Is it possible to measure the color of an object in the darkness using any of the Vishay color sensors?

    Hi Vamsi,

    Unfortunately, TI does not have any parts similar to the VEML6040. I would suggest following up with Vishay Intertechnology to determine if this sensor is suitable for underwater use. If we can suggest TI devices for other parts of your system we would be happy to do so.
