IWR1642: ESD Machine model is needed

Hi,

I have a customer who is interested in using IWR1443 / IWR1642.
Customer is asking about ESD specification of these device.

According to data sheet, Human-body model(HBM) and Charged-device model(CDM) are specified,
But customer needs Machine model(MM).
Please add MM to data sheet.

Hello,
The HBM and CDM models are what are tested for the mmwave sensor devices. We have asked the test engineers, why the Machine Model is not tested, we don't have an answer yet.

The HBM class is 1000v, the CDM class is 250v.

We have received input from the factory test engineers. The MM ESD model is currently not recommended for device test, see below.

I can confirm what Rajiv said. MM is an obsolete model, and it is not industry standard to execute this test presently. We do test to CDM (Charged Device Model) and HBM (Human Body Model).
