Hi,

i want to use the TDC1011 IC with DRV2700 to drive a transducer with 40kHz.

I can use an opamp to take the TX(TDC1011) and make it differential to the inputs of DRV2700.

The DRV2700 will drive the transducer up to 100V or +-100V.

How do i connect the RX wire from TDC1011? Do i need a level shifter?

Or disbale DRV2700 once the Burst is send out and Enable the receive side ?

Hi Michael,

Disable the high voltage driver once the TX burst has been completed. This is how it is done on the TDC1000-GASEVM and no additional level shifting is required.

Hi Scott,

what about the RX part while Driver is enabled?
RX is connected to the transducer and goes directly to TDC1011

On the TDC1000-GASEVM the RX line is clamped with diodes. As long as it does not exceed the pin voltage specification it will be fine, as the internal RX circuitry is not active until the TX burst is completed.
