AFE5809: Synchronization Options

Part Number: AFE5809 
 AFE5809   -Analogue front end for SONAR.

As per data sheet this IC can accept  8 channel  and process parallel.If I need to process 16 channels,I have to use two of such ICs ,in that case how I can synchronize between two IC s? Is there any functional pin/or
option to synchronize between multiple IC s of AFE5809.?

    Hi Kumar,

    You will need to use a clock buffer to synchronize both devices. Reference page 92 (9.2.2.3.2 CW Clock Selection) and page 95 (ADC Clock Configurations) for an explanation on using clock buffers & how to synchronize the clocks.

    Also, if you are using the demodulator, you can manually control the TX_TRIG for both devices so they begin capturing data at the same time. Note page 63, section 8.6.2 Digital Demodulator Register Description. Look at MANUAL_TX_TRIG.
