Linux/FDC1004: Working with a Microcontroller

Part Number: FDC1004

Tool/software: Linux

Dear all,

I am trying to send output from my FDC1004 to a Raspberry Pi, but the latter is unable to read from the sensor. We would like to use the FDC1004 in production; however, we need it to work with a microcontroller.

Our software engineer has received a large amount of code used for reading from the sensor from a Microsoft device, but is unable to navigate it an adjust it for use with a raspberry Pi.

Do you have any firmware or other code that you can offer for using the FDC1004 to transmit data to a microcontroller?

Are there any modifications we should make to our Raspberry?

Can you recommend a different microcontroller?

Is there a better sensor?

Please let us know and thank you so much

  • Hi George,

Unfortunately, we only have example code for Windows devices. We do not typically work with Raspberry Pis, so I can't offer you any suggestions there either.

As for different microcontroller and sensor suggestions, this depends entirely on your application. Could you describe your application?

    Regards,
