IWR1642: Crosstalk between antennas

Part Number: IWR1642
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1243

Hi,

Is it possible to use several IWR1642 at the same time, or is going to lead to some issues of measurements?
How to deal with the use of several IWR1642 ?

Thanks,

Alex

  • Hello,
IWR1642 is not sharing the Transmit Reference signal so that the IWR1642 is coherent as a reference. This is called Cascade mode, which is only supported by AWR1243 device.

If you mean how do multiple IWR1642 take synchronous measurements, the Sync Input can be used with a time reference, to
synchronize or to space-out-in-time IWR1642 sensor measurements. The CLI parameters are reconfigured for Hardware Sync input rather than
software control. If you are trying to align 2 sensors in time, the Sync Out from the master device, can be sent to the Sync In.
