IWR1642BOOST: Get Started with IWR1642 BOOST evm

Hello,

This si Fady Aziz, Fraunhofer IPA, Germany.

I am now trying to get started with the IWR 1642 BOOST and I am lost with searching too much the last two days.

I have followed the steps here in this video:

ti.com/StartIWR1642

It is now connected correctly and I can see it in Com ports in Windows,

Then after that I have tried to use this link:

dev.ti.com/mmWaveDemoVisualizer

It is always giving me this message

I have made all teh steps that i can make and unistalled the anti-virus totally from my PC without the problem being solved

I have also received an advice from Customer Support to install CCS v7 and then import the project from there. I have installed but couldn't import and didn't understant what to import.

I have some issues and questions:

1- I need to solve the problem of the online GUI

2- Is there any normal GUI I can install on my PC and run the kit.

3- Is there anyway to connect the sensor through MATLAB?

4- All the demos I have fiund were for IWR 1443 Is there any demos available for IWR 1642 ?

5- Can the demos work for both sensors? I have studied the hardware differences between both radar systems.

    Hi Fady,

    When did you get your IWR1642BOOST? Also what version of mmWave-SDK are you using?

    There is no error message listed in your post above.

    Current demos on TI-REX for IWR1642BOOST are People Counting, Traffic Monitoring, Short Range Radar, High Accuracy, and all of the labs in the Automotive Toolbox.

    I have received it from some weeks but I have started to operate on it from two days.

    The error message is :
    TI Cloud Agent Installation
    Could not launch TI Cloud Agent : Failed to start TICloudAgent . Please perform the actions listed below and try your operation again.

    I have installed it and tried many times but it is not solved yet.

    I hope you can help me more.

    The Standard Visualizer is available for offline use through the GUI Composer Runtime Program.

    3- Is there anyway to connect the sensor through MATLAB?
    Yes, You'll need to use the Serial() function to establish a UART connection.

    4- All the demos I have fiund were for IWR 1443 Is there any demos available for IWR 1642 ?
    Current demos on TI-REX for IWR1642BOOST are People Counting, Traffic Monitoring, Short Range Radar, High Accuracy, and all of the labs in the Automotive Toolbox.

    Unfortunately only the currently listed demos are available for their particular devices.
