IWR1642: CAN short circuit problem

I'm using the IWR1642, and there is a problem about the CAN interface.

When I shorted the CANH and CANL, or CANH and GND, or CANL and VCC, the function of the CAN interface doesn't work any more. However, when the short circuit doesn't exist, the CAN still can't work due to the previous shorting problem.

My problem is what can i do (software or hardware) to let the CAN re-enter working status as normal when the short circuit doesn't exist?

Hi,

The transceiver is probably damaged.

You would need to replace it. Please check the schematics of the board

The transceiver is not damaged.

In fact, i'm doing the short circuit protection test which is required in the ISO16750-2:2012.It requires connecting all relevant inputs and outputs of the DUT(CANH and CANL in my application) in sequence for duration of 60s to Usmax and to ground. It also requires when the short circuit doesn't exist, the system would run back to the normal operation status.

I know there is some ways to monitor this kind of hardware fault in other MCU, and some bits in the MCU's status register or other specific register will change in this situation. But i don't know what can i do about the IWR1642 device.

I set the autoBusOnEnable = 1,and the problem sloved! And the device ISO16750-2 test is okay. Thanks for your reply.
